The dslr camera I have this semester is the Sony SLT-A33. I learned that the camera has a shorter battery life than most, which will be important to know for the future so I can remember to charge it. The second thing I learned is that my camera has a smile detector on it for faces- so it can tell when someone is smiling. Finally, I can control the shutter speed with a dial on the front of the camera that I can turn- although it will take me a while to figure out how shutter speed affects my pictures!
