5 links to my favorite museums

1. Claude Monet's house in Giverny, http://giverny.org/monet/home/

-In high school, I got to go on an artist tour in Europe with my school, and we got the chance to visit Claude Monet's house in Giverny, France. I was able to walk through his beautiful gardens and his home and had the chance to enter the life the Monet had once lives. I walked amongst the flowers and was able to imagine the scenery the gave him the inspiration to paint. I took pictures of my the gardens on my phone, and I have included a few of them here at the bottom of the page. I was able to take these pictures and create some of my own drawings from them!

2. The Louvre https://www.louvre.fr/en

-Another one of my favorite museums is the Louvre. I also got to visit this museum while in Europe, and the sheer size of it was incredible. I love historical paintings, and there were so many in this museum. Not to mention, I got to see the Mona Lisa which was pretty incredible. I was only disappointed in the fact that by the time we got to visit the Louvre, I was so exhausted from my trip that at a certain point I didn't have the energy to walk around anymore. It also would've been impossible to see all the artwork in just one day, as there was so much of it to be seen.

3. Salvidor Dali Museum https://www.salvador-dali.org/en/museums/house-salvador-dali-in-portlligat/

During my trip to Europe, we also went to Spain where I got to visit the Salvidor Dali Museum. This museum was located in his house- which was a work of art itself. I have never been to such an amazing place before, and it was filled with his surrealist artwork. They also included the photographs taken of him by Phil Halsman, which express his sense of humor and childlike personality. This museum was by far one of my favorites, and I was so lucky to have the chance to go and visit it.

4. MOMA https://www.moma.org/

I love modern art, so everytime I get to go to the museum of modern art I have the best time. I love seeing works by Picasso, Pollock, Matisse, and even Andy Warhol. My entire family knows how interested I am in art, and my extended family lives in New York, so we always go to the MOMA together when we visit. This makes the experience there even more special, as I get the chance to celebrate and appreciate art with my whole family. My uncle is actually a photographer living in Manhattan, so I know he appreciates the museum just as much as I do.

5. Musee d'Orsay https://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/home.html

Finally, the last museum that is on my top five list of favorites is the Musee d'Orsay, located in Paris, France. The building itself is beautiful, and I when you walk inside you're struck with the how intricate the architecture is. The pieces of artwork are amazing as well, and I got to see sculptures, paintings, and more.
